In this heat moths dont stand still so the problem of trying to get some shots took an awful amount of my time today so I decided this afternoon to grab some of that vitamin D that's being handed out for free at the moment and have a chill in the back garden.
Still remembering my encounter with the Clearwings in Cornwall I decided I couldn't actually do nothing so I put out three different pheromones in the hope of seeing something, but you don't see Clearwings on a housing estate do you?
Well as a matter of fact you do as I found out when an Orange-tailed Clearwing was attracted to my VES lure and that was the second time I had attracted one in the past two days.
I was prepared for this today unlike yesterday and as such you are invited to some of the photos. The moth was released without harm whatsoever and I have seen my third species of Clearwing moth this year.
