Since my last blog moths have been about the same species with a single Oak Beauty on Saturday night plus a couple that had not left the garden and last night it was Common Quaker 4, Dotted Border 1, Hebrew Character 1, & Small Brindled Beauty 1,so not much else. Of course if you make a comment that micros dont turn up until later in the year you are bound to have one give itself up by landing on your trousers. It was a lively little blighter that flew off in the porch only to be found late last night so I was able to take a few shots. Sadly its a bit worn but I believe it to be Ypsolopha ustella which is around this time of year. I'm sure I will be guided if I'm wrong. Not much of a blog I know but it is important to tell people when I have a new species for the website and it gives my helpers time to look at the blog and comment on any errors in their own time rather than being bombarded by daily emails of despair.
