All of a sudden in the last couple of days has been a couple of trips to Odiham to see if anything was about which resulted in 1 Early Moth & 1 Pale Brindled Beauty yesterday and a couple of Dotted Borders today.
If nothing else it has given me the opportunity to produce a load of rubbish photos with my newly purchased Canon EOS 70D which has been added to the fleet.
Trying to get decent shots when the lighting is so bad will only ever make you feel like you have spent a decent amount of money and should have more sense but where does sense come into a hobby of such pleasure?
So not being a selfish man I decided to share them with the viewers to the blog but must add I hope everyone has a good year anyway, especially people with like interests and lets hop the Sun God is in a good mood this year.
I have added one new page this year from a moth that I'm hoping I have identified correctly if late and that is the Argyresthia goedartella which I'm not sure is a regular around here although the larva overwinters in male Catkins of Alder and Birch and I have Birch close-by. It was taken on 6 September 2014.
I have hyper-linked the name to the relevant species page above.
With requests for photos and a moth conference at the end of the week I feel like taking a chance and saying "The worst is over"
My regards to you all.
