It is and was not my intention of trying to photograph any moths i saw it was really to check out if further visits might be worth the petrol as it hasn't up to now.
The one big difference was the volume of moths on the wall with Engrailed in such numbers that the place looked like it had been wallpapered with a special pattern.
Not far behind the Engrailed was the Riband Wave which again had really good numbers. Other moths included my first Swallow-tailed Moth of the year along with a couple of Common Emeralds which are always a pleasure to see. I even had my first ever Small fan-foot & micro Phtheochroa inopiana, so even gained 2 NFW moths.Celypha striana is always here in the season with Small Fan-footed Wave & Treble Brown Spot so the main reason for the visit was positive,at last the moths are out!!!
