When filling up with fuel I found two moths on the fence, firstly the Common Plume,a very small moth that seems to have very thin wings when resting but do live up to their name by looking like a birds wing in flight with a series of four "feathers".
My second find is the lovely Poplar Hawkmoth which I think by the size of her abdomen is female and possibly due to deposit ovum very soon.

Another one of those moths with tibia spurs, it a small moth whose larvae are polyphagous feeding on numerous plant genera.

In a tree showing green colouration between the abdomen segments.
A beautiful moth with ruddy brown markings on the underside. ( see Poplar hawmoth species page)
