The moth found on Daisy's is the miniscule Cocksfoot Moth GLYHIPTERYX simpliciella
(Stephens, 1834) whilst the ones in the Meadow Buttercup are MICROPTERIX calthella (Linnaeus, 1761). Whilst check another field I nearly trod on a gigantic Grass snake which gave us both a toiletry problem and for me a couple of shaking hands. Not fussy about snakes especially when nearly underfoot.
The trap last night was disappointing with three moths and 20 Cockchafers which again are not my favourite.
The moths caught were a Swallow Prominent,my first for two years(usually Lesser) a Pale Mottled Willow (NFY) and a Treble Lines (NFY) all singletons
At Odiham it was a single Scorched Carpet
