That's the chance you take I guess and had I put the trap out you all know what would have happened ,yes,it would have fallen to pieces due to the rain.
With the forecast looking cold in the evenings for the foreseeable future I decided to take a trip to Odiham and see if anything new was appearing. What was obvious is the Dotted Border seems to be having a good time of it with the numbers reaching the highest so far this year at a grand old total of 8 individuals. There was one new species for the year in my first Clouded Drab of the year which seems significant thinking of those cold evenings to come of 1 - 4ºc. No, I wasn't born miserable at all!
