I found my first Marbled White of the year,a male, enjoying the late evening sunshine soaking up the warmth as it rested on the grass stems.
About three Meadow Browns were imbibing on one of the caltha or Buttercup varieties before settling down for the evening.
Moths were the same with Burnet Companions in good numbers but on the micro front it was a case of the same individuals seen this month.
I have included a couple of shots of the 12mm long Chrysoteuchia culmella only because I like the shots.

Meadow Brown actually settled for once after feeding on Buttercups.
Chrysoteuchia culmella are very common at Odiham at the moment but they do give photographic practice which we all find useful. I particularly like these moths with their bright eyes.
