The trap was also full of so many insects last night that I pondered where is this next generation through winter? Its amazing the insect life we have in this country.
The catch last night was as follows:-
Peppered Moth 2, Green Oak Tortrix 4, Variagated Golden Tortrix,Spotted Shoot Moth 1*,Celypha lacunana 2, Buff Ermine 2, Riband Wave 2, Heart & Dart 2, Heart & Club 1, Mottled Rustic 1, Buff-tip 2, Common Footman 1*,The Festoon 1*, Tawny-barred Angle 1, Dot Moth 1*,Light Emerald 1*, Blotched Emerald 1, Dark Arches 1, Buff Arches 1*, Treble Brown Spot 1*,Barred Fruit-tree Tortrix 2
Highlight of the evening, if that a fair way of describing it, was the single Festoon, a nationally scarce species.
