Tomorrows another day!!!
It was with great anticipation I put the trap out last night, checking the weather every hour to make sure that rain was not going to spoil the evening.Having put out the trap I found an hour later that rain was expected between 9 & 10pm so rather than bring it in again I fitted an umbrella to a chair to protect the electrics only to change back to the status quo at the next rain check. The temperature seemed the best of the year so I had hoped for good variety this morning but alas as is always the case the moths must have been checking the same weather station as me and decided to stay where they were. 29 moths of seven species produced Common Quaker 21, Small Quaker 3, Early Grey 1, Hebrew Character 1 , Emelina monodactyla 1 & two NFY being The Herald 1, and a Grey Pine Carpet 1. Tomorrows another day!!!
