STREBLOTE panda (Hübner, [1822])
Description
Wingspan: Male 30-40mm : Female 45-70mm

UK Distribution: Not recorded
European Conservation Status -
Flight Period: January-November : four generations are possible depending on conditions
Similar Species -
Observations: The larvae of The Blueberry Lappet are considered to be a pest of the forest, horticultural and floricultural plants in Spain where they completely defoliate the young plants.Having three overlapping broods per year only exasperates the situation.
The moth is a common species to be found in blueberry fields in western Andalusia.
Controlled tests in the laboratory were carried out to find the cultivars of vaccinium that most suited the larvae.
The data provided useful information for planning and managing blueberry orchards in the presence of STREBLOTE panda populations
