Observations: A Nationally Scarce A species according to the UK Biodiversity Action Plan showing it has few records in Britain with most taken in the southern counties.The moth photographed below was caught in my 30w Actinic moth trap which was placed close to a Victoria plum tree growing feet away, giving hope that the plum tree was the initial interest either to the moth or its parent.
The thorax is reddish brown with the forewings suffused orangy,pinkish or reddish brown with a few white costal streaks and an obscure dorsal blotch containing 3 or 4 lines.
Moth flies in the evening and is attracted to light.
