Observations: This moth is similar to the Pine Shoot Moth R.buoliana Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775 although it has stronger orange markings and the orange "V" mark dropping down from the dorsum towards the costa at the rear is shallower, although it may be necessary for genitalia inspection the separate the species in some cases.
The moth is attracted to the light trap usually appearing in small numbers.
