Luxembourg,Madeira,Malta,Norway,Portugal,Sardinia,Sicily,Slovenia & Ukraine) : Transcaucasia to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
UK Distribution: Scarce in north west England

Observations: The forewing of this moth is very straight along he termen and is rounded at the apex,it is covered in white with light brown markings across the full wing. There are black markings across the dorsum towards the front,centrally up from the costa at the centre and markings along the rear just in from the termen.
A Nationally Scarce B Moth under the UK Biodiversity Action Plan.
Can be seen at Poplar trunks,flies at dusk and is attracted to light.
