Similar Species -
Overwinters as: Larva
Observations: Moth forewing is and orangery brown with dark brown suffused almost yellow.The moth can clearly be separated from certain colour forms of the similar species by the sickle or falcate mark at the apex and the white dorsal blotch located centrally along the forewing but finishing against the dorsum.The occelus is not clearly defined but normally black dashes are located in this position although missing in some individuals.
