Observations: The conservation status for this moth is classified as "unconfirmed" based on previous records taken in the nineteenth century from around the country proving to be erroeous, and with no records since, will possibly take something like global warming or migration to change the situation.
Some old records may have been confused with the similar m.adusta which has narrower forewings,a continuous curved termen and lacks the reddish tinge of the stigmata.
