Worldwide Distribution: Europe - ( Including - Balearic Is.,Bulgaria,Canary is.,Crete,Croatia,Cyprus, French mainland,Greek mainland,Italian mainland,Macedonia,Malta,Portugal,Romania,S Russia,Sardinia,Sicily,Slovenia,Spanish mainland and Ukraine) : North Africa as far south as Senegal : Middle East

Similar Species -
Observations: A resident of SE & SW southern Europe this moth first arrived in England at Deal Kent in 2004 where it was officially added to the british list, with up to date the total numbers recorded having barely past double figures, the latest possibly being the specimen shown below, which was recorded in 2016.
The forewings are greyish white with darker areas showing in the basal areas and terminal areas on all wings.The main feature of this moth is the dark brown band which forms the postmedial line extending into the median area and finishing short of the costa on all wings.Behind this band on the hindwing are two dark brown. Termen line on hindwings are pointed as in most "Peacocks".
On the costa at this point are two lighter triangular blothches. The antemedial line is well marked and wavy as is the basal line.
