Similar Species -
Overwinters as: Larva
Observations: This moth is similar to A.obtusana but is larger and the deep orange basal patch finishes with a wavy traverse line whereas in the similar species this line is convex.
The forewing slightly extends into a small lobe at the apex and is light brownish orange from basal area to termen.Dark orange and white streaks along the costa are most prominent towards the apex.
The moth is easily disturbed during the day,flies by night and is attracted to light.
