Similar Species -
Observations: The male of this moth can be separated from both sexes of the similar species by its white hindwings,the female being more difficult due to the female hindwing only being pale in the basal area. The white band beyond the median area with E.gentianaeana is thinner than both sexes of this moth making it readily distinguishable.
The moth is easily disturbed during the day,flies in the evening and occasionally attracted to light.
