Similar Species -
Observations: The similar species C.alburnella can be separated from this species from segment 2 of the labial palp which is pure white whereas this moth has segment 2 which is white speckled greyish brown.
Similar species C.decorella can be separated from this species by a short black dash in the basal area of the forewing along the costa.
Forewing of this moth is whitish speckled black and grey with a post median line which is a series off black spots. There are other black spots adjacent to dorsum on basal and antemedial cross lines.Terminal line is also a series of black spots.
The moth is attracted to light appearing at the moth trap in small numbers.
