Description

Similar Species -
Overwinters as: Ovum
Observations: Although very similar to A.capreana this moth has a postmedial and pre-tornal lines that are fairly straight,the basla area being darker and the subterminal fascia having no dots.
The basal two thirds is blackish brown with black patches and the median area is black with basal line oblique, almost straight, whilst the apical third of the wing is whitish.In the basal area there is a white streak,sometimes hook-like and with black markings.
The cilia are white, tipped grey.
The moth can be disturbed during the day from rest and flies from dusk. It is also attracted to light.
