Similar Species -
Observations: The forewing is long,greyish brown or greyish with blackish or dark brown spots and with very fine white speckling.The basal line is almost black and made up of a series of spots which aften are joined to form a cross line.At a third long the wing from base are two blotches in the centre of the wing with a further two occuring at two thirds and adjoined to the dorsum.Adjacent to these blotches is a faint,very thin, white cross line.
The moth normally appears from May to October with two generations and sometimes also appear in March.
The moth is attracted to light.
