UK Distribution: Local throughout much of England and southern Wales being more local in northern England

Observations: The forewings are whitish with grey or brown mottling and a brown,grey edged median band that is wide at dorsum,narrow at costa and broken between the two.Highlighted with a reddish or reddish brown marking at the apex.
The moth moth a local species throughout much of England and southern Wales and more local further north.
The moth flies in the evening and is attracted to light.
