Observations: Although similar to the The Rivulet - Perizoma affinitata (Stephens, 1831) this moth is much smaller with two white cross lines, the second white cross lines has a tooth like indentation into the terminal area, just in from the costa and two more on the inner white band facing the opposite direction towards the base. There is sometimes a feint cross line near the base.
The subterminal line shows strongly a short distance in from the costa before becoming a broken white line.
The hindwing usually has only a feint cross line.
The moth can sometimes be disturbed during the day close to the larval food plant and usually flies at dusk.
It is also attracted to light and can be found at the moth trap in small numbers.
