Observations: A rare migrant from south east and central Europe that has been recorded along the south coast from Cornwall and Kent,including the Isle of Wight about 35 times,usually in September, collected at the light trap.
The moth forewing is brown with a broad subterminal band in light brown and emanating light veins with orbicular stigma that are pronounced and diagnostic, separating the moth from its similar species.
There is no record of breeding in this country.
