Observations: The similar species A.rubigana is slightly larger with broader forewings and a broader median fascia,nearly always interrupted,the outer margin deeply indented before the dorsum.
The moth forewing is creamy white,sometimes yellowish,suffused with golden or light brown patches with a reddish or reddish brown median fascia from the dorsum obliquely to the costa at one half.The outer margin of the median fascia hardly indented near the dorsum.
Moth easily disturbed by day,flies at dusk and is attracted to light.
