UK Distribution: Local and scarce in southern England and up to Lancashire/Yorkshire. Rare in north of range

Similar Species -
Observations: The forewing is pale yellow with two brown oblique cross lines forming the median fascia with the antemedian line finishing half way across the wing from dorsum, not reaching the costa. This latter shorter line differentiates this species from the two similar species.
The moth is nationally scarce moth under the UK BAP biodiversity plan mainly appearing locally in southern England.
The moth can be disturbed during the day,can be seen around host plant at dusk and is attracted to light.
