Observations: A rare immigrant recorded only a few times in England where they have been seen along the Kent or Essex coast.
The moth is a resident in central and southern Europe expending its range eastwards to the Middle East.
The moth is a relatively large crambid and is highly unlikely to be mistaken.
The forewing is yellow brown with falcate apex and a series of longitudinal white lines underlined with brown. Costal streak splits half way along wing. Hindwing is grey and white towards base. Antennae dentate.
