Description

Similar Species -
Overwinters as: Larva
Observations: The forewings are white with patches of orangey brown suffusion and a median fascia in black and brown which is tapered half way across the forewing.the subterminal fascia is also made up of black and brown mixture.
Although similar to E.ambiguella and the Shetland subspecies E.a.thuleana the median fascia is narrower than the similar species and more diffused.
The moth can be seen flying in warm afternoons and is attracted to light.
