UK Distribution: Scarce in southern England and northern England only

Similar Species -
Observations: Forewings are pale yellowish brown or pale brown with darker brown cross bands. The central cross band is positioned one third along the dorsum dorsum,and follows obliquely for two thirds across the wing before angling back to meet the costa.A small brown blotch is adjacent to this cross band and positioned dorsally.The final cross band starts at the costa and is angled back towards tornus although never reaching it. The light coloured wings and markings are diagnostic with his moth.
Appearing only in the south and north of England the moth is Nationally scarce A under the UK BAP action plan.
Moth flies at dusk and is attracted to light.
