Observations: The diognostic feature of this moth provides its name and that is the three straight dark cross-lines. Apart from the lines the moth is generally plain apart from the darker background found towards to the termen.
At the peak of its season the Treble Lines is a regular visitor to the light trap,often in good numbers, where it is attracted to light.
