Observations: This moth has a pure white longitudinal streak which is of more or less constant width and a dark costal edge. The streak dives into two feint fingers towards the terminal end, and the termen is rounded perpendicular to the costa. Ground colour variable between straw and reddish brown.
The similar species Agriphila tristella ([Denis & Schiffermüller],1775) has a cream coloured,never white, longitudinal streak that narrows at one third and splits into four fingers. The termen is straight and not perpendicular to the costa.
This moth has a smoother texture on the forewing than the similar species.
The moth can be disturbed during the day and is attracted to light.
