Overwinters as: Adult
Observations: The summer brood forewing is white,sparsely speckled with black triangular patch located at half towards the apex and on thorax whereas the autumn specimens tend to be greyer,sometimes with yellowish and black scales,looking very similar to A.logiana.The summer broods of these two species are difficult to separate due to the variable nature of this moth.
Can be disturbed from host plant during the day,flies at dusk and is attracted to light.
