Observations: This moth is quite distinctive being both the smallest and palest of the Scopariinae subfamily.The background is pale yellowish brown with a white subterminal cross-line and two 'X' shaped brown marks in the median area. Adjacent to the antemedian brown cross-line are two elongated brown spots.
Possibly the easist of the family to recognise in the field although care should be taken not the confuse this moth with other worn individuals from the same family.
The moth is often double brooded between May in the south and October.
The moth is attracted to light and found at the moth trap,usually in small numbers.
