Worldwide Distribution: Europe - ( Excluding - Azores,Balearic Is.,Belgium,Canary Is.,Channel Is.,Corsica,Crete, Cyrus,Denmark,Estonia, Ireland, Latvia,Luxembourg,Lithuania,Madeira,Malta,Norway,Sardinia,Sweden and the Netherlands)
UK Distribution: Very rare immigrant to southern England - less than 10 records
UK Conservation Status -
Habitat: Open,dry Grassland
Similar Species -
Although similar to poor specimens of Purple Marbled f. carthami the postmedial line which runs from dorsum to the apex and divides the pink purple element of this moth does not appear in the similar species.
No evidence of breeding in the UK
