Observations: A moth with greyish white markings on a relatively long forewing,tinged with light brown and speckled in dark grey and two white fascias at one third and two thirds along the forewing. There is also an X shaped mark in black near the forewing costa.
Identifying the "scoparia" is very difficult and with three similar species S.ambigualis is no exception.
The moth is easily disturbed during during the day and is attracted to light.
