Worldwide Distribution: Europe - excluding (Balearic Isles,Canary Isles,Channel Isles,Crete,Cyrus,Denmark,Estonia,Ireland,Latvia, Lithuania, Madeira,Malta,Slovenia and The Netherlands) : eastwards to Mongolia
UK Distribution: Single immigrant to Britain only

Similar Species -
The forewings are elongate with a pointed apex with an ochreous background with light grey shading. Crosslines are black and relatively faint,the postmedian line edged with crimson. There is two small black discal where the antemedian line finishes at the dorsum.Hindwing is whitish.
Female generally smaller and darker than male.
The moth comes from southern Europe but expands it range eastwards to Mongolia.
