Description

Worldwide Distribution: Europe - less (Estonia,Finland,Lithuania,Luxembourg,Norway,Portugal,Slovenia and some Mediterranean Islands)
UK Distribution:
UK Conservation Status - Nationally scarce throughout much of England,very scarce in Wales,Northern England and Ireland. Possibly more frequent in coastal habitats
Habitat: Grassland : Chalk Pits : Farmland : Rough disturbed ground

Observations: The head and thorax on this moth is white,occasionally pale sandy brown, with greyish brown wings, mottled greyish white,brown and black,with an obscure oblique blackish "V" mark a third along wing. There is a obscure greyish white dot at about half way along wing with a faint whitish obtusely angled (square with similar species) cross line behind the spot.
Moth is attracted to light.
