Luxembourg,Madeira,Malta,Portugal,Sardinia,Sicliy & Slovenia)
UK Distribution: Recorded throughout England,Wales,Scotland and Ireland,less so in Midlands,Wales,Northern England.More frequent throughout Scotland. Ony recorded west coast of Ireland

Habitat: Grasslands containing host plants
Similar Species -
Observations: Head and thorax of this moth is whitish to light brown. Forewing is pinkish brown marked with scattering of greyish-brown and black scales. There are a couple of black dashes at one third adjacent to another two cream streaks facing same way. Another cream dot at two thirds is adjacent to the postmedian line which is pale and obscure.The terminal line consists a row of black dots.
Can be separated from D.douglasella by the angle made by the postmedian fascia which is right angled with this species and obtusely angled with the similar species.
Flies in the evening and is attracted to light.
