Similar Species -
Observations: Although similar to M.laevigella this species has a large triangular pale yellow spot at the tornus although this sometimes this also appleies to similar species. The translucent spot is slightly nearer the middle of the forewing. Forewing is blackish with dark bluish or violet speckling which is less than the similar species.
Head is yellowish with a faint whitish spot in the basal area.
Flies at dusk and is attracted to light.
