Observations: This well marked moth has pale brown background with reddish brown and white markings and a distinct white spot in the middle of the wing just above the tornus and several dark brown markings especially at the median band where the markings are oblique which stop about the middle of the dorsum.
The background can vary between pale orange brown and blackish brown with the marking varying,in size and intensity with the white spot showing on most specimens.
The moth is on the wing either in early morning sunshine or late afternoon or dusk and is attracted to light
