Observations: The moth probably derives its name from the "pebble" like marking adajacent to the forewing apex which stands out against the lighter brown of the forewing and is clearly defined by the black crescent mark located approximately at the median line.Areas of white shading help to highlight what is a magnificent looking moth.
The moth is attracted to light and appears regularly at the light trap.
