Observations: This very rare immigrant has only appeared four times,twice on the Scilly Isles at St Mary,s one each on the 10th & 11th June 2006,Weymouth,Dorset one on 11 June 2006, & East Lulworth,Dorset on the 20 June 2006.
The moth is monophageous on Olive trees and was first recorded in Turkey in 2008 - 2009 when the larvae and pupae were collected from olive orchards in various Turkish provinces and allowed to reach the adult stage for collection and identification.
Its is found in the Olive belt of southern Europe,Middle East and North Africa.
