Similar Species -
Observations: This moth is an immigrant from the southern Mediterranean region and is a rare visitor to Southern and south western England occurring once or twice every five years although exceptional years can produce higher numbers.
The moth forewing varies from greyish to light brown with occasional whitish bands either side of the median area. The hindwing is pale yellow with a black margin. Cross lines vary from feint to clearly marked with the postmedian cross line undulating across the forewing and the antemedian line being almost straight.
