Observations: The moth is extremely variable both in pattern and in colour, which ranges from grey,black and brown, as well as being rather small which can confuse it with moths of the Tortricidae family,especially the two similar moths listed above.
Identifying this moth can sometimes be difficult except my means of genitalia examination.
The brown form of this moth has a wavy black antemedian line and a black lined shoulder,whereas the lighter farm of this moth shown below has a series of black spots at the antemedial fascia and distinct orbicular spots.
