UK Distribution: Mainly recorded on Chilterns and downs of southern England,but rarer in north

Habitat: Chalk Downland in south : open Woodland in north
Similar Species -
Observations: The moth is proposed as a future vulnerable red data book species being restricted to the Chilterns and downs of southern England where its host plant grows and open woodland in the north.
The forewings are white with orange coloured bars, a white head and thorax and a line of black dorsal dashes leading towards the apex.
