UK Distribution: Widespread and very local over much of Great Britain

Similar Species -
Observations: The antennae of the male is a little less than twice the length of the forewing whilst in the female it is the length of the forewing.The forewings are metallic golden green in the basal two thirds with a short black basal streak.The outer part of the wing is golden reddish under certain light conditions.The post median band is black and fairly undefined.
The similar species N.cupriacella is larger than this moth and is without a basal streak and post median cross band.
