UK Distribution: Scarce and very local in parts of southern and eastern England north to Lancashire

Similar Species -
Observations: This moth is unique among the Adelinae subfamily,having brightly bronzed forewings and purple median fascia. It is a nationally scarce moth only found very locally in the south or east of England up to Lancashire and also is a NERC.41 species of principle importance for the purpose of conserving biodiversity for England according to the UK BAP priority plan.
Can be seen in sunshine flying over foodplant which is only Black Horehound, during the day.
