Similar Species -
Observations: Although there are six 'Syncopacma' species with dark forewings S.larseniella is possibly closest to this moth externally, so location or food plant could help separate the two, although genitalia dissection would possibly necessary to be 100% sure.
Because of inaccuracies in the past these two moths were incorrectly separated and as such true distribution was also doubtful so that prior to 1982 records of S. cinctella may refer to S. larseniella.
