Larva: Larva feeds within Hawthorn berries
Overwinters as: Pupa
Observations: The forewing is dark brown towards black, with a dorsum white streak from base to tornus,narrowed by the dark brown in median area.There is a white line bordering the dark brown running from half way along the forewing towards the apex making the dark area appear to be triangulated.Two pairs of raised scales in dark brown are positioned half way and in centre of forewing at two thirds appearing as dark brown spots.
Found resting during the day on trunks or fences,the moth is also attracted to light.
